Dr Maria Luisa Davila Garcia

Dr Maria Luisa Davila Garcia is a Researcher in applied Machine Learning Lecturer in the Computer Science department at The University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. She is a member of the Organisations, Information and Knowledge Group (OAK) at the same University. She received my B.Sc. degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico de Chihuahua II, and an M.Sc. degree in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence from Centro Nacional de Investigacion y Desarrollo Tecnologico (CENIDET, Cuernavaca Morelos). In January this year, she received a Ph.D. degree from Automatic Control and Systems Engineering from The University of Sheffield for her research developing image processing methods for automatic in-vitro morphology analysis.

She carries out research in the application of machine learning algorithms and intelligent image analysis technologies, especially in the healthcare scenario, but applicable in similar/other domains. She has been working on biomedical images developing techniques for image processing and design of techniques for automatic feature extraction with programming scientific languages.
