Mammary organoids represent a 3D culture models of miniaturized mammary glands. They are useful tools in basic and application research. In my talk, I will introduce mammary organoids in the context of 3D cell culture history, describe mammary organoid models developed in my laboratory and provide examples of their use in developmental biology and how they could be exploited for biotechnology applications.
