RedBIOT and the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez through the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IIT)

Announce  the 9th International Congress of  biomaterials,  organs and tissue engineering that will take place on October 26, 27, and 28, 2022 with headquarters at the Institute of Engineering and Technology  in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.

 

Justification

This Congress aims to bring together both students and researchers interested in the areas of biomaterials, organs and tissue engineering to disseminate new advances and challenges in these topics. As well as generating synergies and fostering links between students, academics, researchers, doctors, and business people, for the development of multidisciplinary groups specialized in the application of science and engineering in medicine.

 

Objectives

  • Promote collaboration between the members of redBIOT as well as those interested in its topics, to achieve first-rate innovation, development and research;  thus achieve the application of results in medicine.
  • Share knowledge and analyze the current challenges being faced in both basic science and application of biomaterials, organs and tissue engineering.
  • Establish multi and interdisciplinary ties that allow us to elaborate, develop and interact in joint research projects.
  • Disseminate among students, teachers, researchers, business people, and the general public the study and practice of redBIOT topics.

 

Participants

The Congress is aimed at teachers, researchers, and students from higher education institutions and public and private scientific research centers, as well as industry and business people in the field.

  • 3D printing and bioprinting
  • Biomaterials and bioactive surfaces
  • Nanomedicine.
  • Entrepreneurship, industry, and regulatory framework. (includes round table)

Modality.

The congress will be in a hybrid modality, for which both the speakers and the attendees will have the opportunity to participate in person or remotely.

  1. Speaker face-to-face oral presentation.
  2. Speaker remote oral presentation.
  3. Face-to-face poster speaker.
  4. Remote poster speaker.
  5. Entrepreneurship, industry, and regulatory framework. (Includes Discussion panel).
  6. Attendees. Those interested in attending the various conferences, poster sessions, and other activities should also register on the registration website.

Submission of proposals

 

General information and rules of participation

  1. Proposals must be sent through the UACJ Open Conference System at: http://econferencias.uacj.mx/ocs/index.php/redbiot2022/rb2022/author
  2. The period for receiving proposals is from May 25 to September 30, 2022.
  3. The proposal must include (No exceptions):
    1. Participation modality.
    2. Speaker's name
    3. Speaker's email.
    4. Work title.
    5. Abstract, emphasizing the objective, justification, development, and conclusions in an extension of at least 120 words and a maximum of 150.
    6. Name of the authors and institution to which they belong.
    7. Thematic axis in which you want to register your proposal.
  4. Incomplete proposals and those that do not fit the thematic axis will be rearranged or rejected.
  5. Proposals in the oral modality that do not have enough novelty or interest for the thematic axis, determined by the organizing committee, will be accepted as a poster.
  6. The acceptation of the proposals will be announced via email to each of the speakers indiviually as they are received, with a deadline of September 15.
  7. To ensure participation and inclusion in the conference program, the speaker must make the registration payment before September 20. After that date, his participation will be subject to the availability of spaces.
  8. The Congress will be held in person at the facilities of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IIT), to the extent that the public health situation allows. Participants in the virtual modality will be able to access the activities through the UACJ virtual work system to which they will be given access after completing their registration and payment.
